There’s a lot of information locked in books, magazines and catalogs from decades previous regarding computer equipment, components and software – one such information that can be difficult at times to locate online are price listings.
Most people when they get into vintage or retro computing just want to get straight down to business, deviling deep into some untapped nostalgia pool or breaking out some favourite games of the era. Not many of them are going to think about how much that computer cost at time of release, but some do – namely those performing research on either their computers or a certain technology.
What I aim to do here is unlock this information from old magazines that I come across and provide in in an easy to read, index and searchable format. I can’t guarantee to document everything, admittedly this task is a little boring, but what I can do is ensure the data I do provide is accurate to that which was printed.
