Filmogs is currently one of my favourite online community projects that I contribute to often. A sister project started by the team behind the phenomenal recorded music database, Discogs, Filmogs tackles the world of home cinema and film. The aim is much like that of Discogs, to catalogue every single home release of film on every format imaginable, from every country in high detail.

The website is currently in its infancy, with development being slow and steady. There is a true calling for film buffs, TV nerds and general data dorks (like myself) to come and contribute to this project. To help on the site I have started contributed the foundations for many wiki pages providing in depth guides on how to correctly and quickly add data to the ever growing database. I highly recommend people come and join myself, and many others on the website to help achieve the goal to build the world’s largest home video database.
