Music Artwork Dripping with Y2K Aesthetic – Dance Edition

Y2K Aesthetic – The Y2K aesthetic (also known as Kaybug) is an aesthetic that was prevalent in popular culture from roughly 1995 to 2003. Named after the Y2K Bug, it is characterized by a distinct aesthetic period, encapsulating fashion, hardware design, music, and furnishings shining with tech optimism — sometimes literally. I love Y2K aesthetic, probably because its an era that I was actually part of, and I like to help contribute to people researching or looking at things that exhibit that era of design strongly.

I have posted a few posts to the Y2K Aesthetic subreddit, but I feel that a post here might work slightly better as it is a little bit more permenant.

A place that I find Y2K aesthetic most frequently is in music cover artwork featuring techno-styled fonts, wet look textures, colourful animals, era-appropriate CGI and lots of technology influences.

This post is a celebration of that design period, with a focus on cover art for various “dance” music releases (so genres such as house, trance, techno, nu disco etc).

If you can think of any others that would fit, let me know below!
